Meet IzzE
IzzE is a queer neurodivergent producer that creates music based around their struggles with mental health and journey of discovering their identity while crafting a story to come to life in listeners’ minds. This includes not feeling safe enough to form your own identity, especially in the evangelical family that IzzE grew up with. Along with these topics is the exploration of trauma, including generational trauma which is viewed through IzzE’s learning of their Armenian descent and the Armenian Genocide.

IzzE is heavily influenced by their classical clarinet background while being inspired by funk, soul, and indie. This fusion allows for IzzE to create stimulating music that keeps listeners captivated while telling a story. Another key aspect to IzzE’s music is their Armenian heritage and their experiences being raised by a first-generation immigrant and second-generation immigrants.
IzzE is currently collaborating with vocalist Sam Cohen on a record about feeling stuck as life passes you by. IzzE continues to work on personal projects related to mental health and identity.

“My music combines my classical roots with jazz and the sonic characteristics of funk. I makes it my mission to collaborate with musically unconventional artists to produce stimulating and engaging records that are stylistically unique.”
